King Kong

Seriously I am SO glad its Friday!  This week has been the longest week ever, for real.  Could be because my husband has been out of town, baseball season started, and customers just weren't very nice.  Its hard because I am usually the first person they talk to after the deal has been made, and I am the person that they generally choose to lay it out on if something isn't going their way.  Oh well... just glad its over and hoping that next week, with all the sunshine we are having everyone will be in much better moods!

So my  husband got to spend the week in New York for work.  Poor guy, he gets to go all over the place for weeks at a time sometimes.  I try to be happy that he is having so much fun but for some reason him telling me about spending an evening here....

While my day was spent getting yelled at, hung up on, and then told how "un-cool" I am from my kids all while trying to watch what I eat.... just makes it a wee bit hard to be happy that he is having SO MUCH FUN!  ;)  All kidding aside, I am glad that he was able to do some sight seeing while he was there but I am so ready for him to walk in that door tonight!

I am pretty excited about baseball starting, although I just found out that there will be 3 practices a week (gads, who has time for that?) I absolutely LOVE spending my spring/summer at the ball park.  As a child I grew up there.  My brother's all played (all three of them), my nephews played, my dad coached and my dad also played in an adult softball league so I literally was there day and night and it just makes my heart smile.  Peyton is also on a really good team this year.  Last year (the team was a joke) was his first year playing ever because of all of our traveling we really haven't had an opportunity for him to play seriously, but he is catching on quick and loves it.  It is in his blood after all!  I am excited to watch him grow and learn from this team.  Although first practice of the season a wonky ball hit him right in the cheek.  His nose was bleeding like crazy and he has a bit of a banged up eye but he took it like a champ and was right back out there playing as soon as the bleeding stopped.

Here's to the weekend (THANK GOOOOODNESS).  Hope you all have a great, fun, safe weekend.  I am looking forward to doing nothing at all.  Just spending time with the family!

Lucky me!

Holy flipping cow... life seems to just be cruising on by and my free time is NON existent!  I feel like I need about 5 more hours in my day just to accomplish the things I WANT to do, not the things I have to do.  Know what I mean?  Its been pretty crazy around here.  I was asked to start working more hours so I am basically working full time now.  It's good and bad.  Not bad, I guess its just been hard.  My house is always a mess (for my liking) and the gym and I have been having a hard time getting together.  BUT... bright side is that I enjoy my job and the people I work with.  Well, I enjoy it most days.  Today was one of those days.  I got hung up on a few times and yelled at a few times  Sheesh... it must have been a full moon last night.  Don't shoot the messenger people!!!!!  Lucky me!!!

In other news.... we had a pretty fun weekend.  We went to my sisters house for Sunday dinner, and I offered to bring a dessert and started doing some research on St. Patrick's Day desserts.  I fell in love with these adorable cupcakes the second I saw them so we went for it.  I got the recipe here.

I started with a cake mix (white) and prepared it as you normally would.  I then divided it into 4 bowls and added food coloring, I used the neon colors because I am cool like that!

We put it in each muffin cup in spoon fulls, alternating colors so it looked like this.

Then we baked them... for about 20 minutes
And they looked like this!

I made some green frosting in the meantime, let them cool for about an hour.
I used the Airhead Extremes candy and a rolo and how cute are these?

One of my favorite things about going to my sisters house is because I get to see my two great nieces.  They are SO much fun.  I honestly LOVE being a great Aunt.  It is so much more fun (I just wrote funner... is that even a word?) than being just an Aunt.  I guess that is because I became an Aunt at age 5, so I spent more time playing with them as I would a little brother or sister but being able to enjoy them as little ones.... is heaven.  Plus, I am their favorite.  Here's proof!

It Works!

So first of all skiing last weekend was a BLAST!  I haven't laughed that hard in a VERY long time.  It was something that my husband and I desperately needed.  More on that later.  Right now I wanted to share with you all something new...

A couple of months ago a friend of mine was talking about these wraps that she was selling.  I decided I needed to try one out.  I am a sucker for wraps and honestly LOVE the way they make me feel.  With the dieting and lifestyle that I live sometimes I feel like it does more damage to my body than good so a nice detox is always something that I am interested in.  I had her come over and do a wrap on myself, my sister and my niece.  Holy cow the next day, I felt absolutely amazing.  I really felt my body detoxifying.  I decided that I just had to get some more wraps.  I bought a box of four and used them in the course of a few weeks.  A couple of weeks ago I was contacted by my friend about possibly becoming a distributor.  I was hesitant because I am not sure how much time I will have to invest in distributing, but honestly after using the products I decided that I just had to spread the word.  I have tried a few different products and am loving every one of them.  If you are interested in learning some more or purchasing any of these products feel free to contact me, becoming a loyal customer gets you an awesome price.  Here is my direct website here you can read about the products, or place an order.  I would LOVE to answer any questions you may have.  I am so excited about this!

Snow day!

I am SO looking forward to this weekend.  In almost 12 years of marriage, our "dating" has taken a major backseat (like its non existent).  Especially over the last few years.  In fact ironically we dated each other more when we lived in another country.  When we moved back to Utah I was just sure that I would FINALLY get to really date my husband again with all this family around.  No such luck.  Everyone has a life here, everyone is busy.  Humph!  It is hard to find babysitters, and time, and money but we have had a really rough year, and dang it we NEED this so bad so we decided to just say forget it.  We shouldn't spend the money but we just don't care.  We are going to Park City for the weekend, to be ALONE and to do some skiing.  I am beyond excited for this time. Thankfully my sisters agreed were forced to each take one kid.  I will hopefully remember to take my camera.. and hopefully won't get hurt skiing.  I haven't been in YEARS, the last time I went skiing was probably.... 14 years ago.  I have been snowboarding since then but not skiing.  It just so happens we are getting a bunch of fresh snow all week so skiing should be a blast on Saturday, and hopefully with some fresh powder my bum won't get too bruised ;)
