Thank YOU!

Thanks so much for all the support and encouraging words from my last post. I am really excited about the next 10 weeks. It makes it even more exciting knowing how much support I have, so please know how much I appreicate it and NEED it :)

I have some ideas of how I want to go about this competition but I also feel sort of unsure. I know that the diet will be slightly different from Figure, so I need to tweak it a bit and as far as my workouts go, for lower body, LOTS and lots of HIIT, circuits, body weighted workouts. I need to shrink those suckers. My upper body gets ripped pretty easy thank goodness. Its those legs of mine that take SO much work, sigh!

Anyway, just wanted to pop on here and thank you all.

Today's food has been pretty basic. Egg whites, veggies, fish, more veggies... nothing exciting :)

Is there a clown in the house?

There is about to be... and it will require some serious juggling! Hope I can learn real quick, any tips?

Here it is.

I am doing it.

ITS SHOWTIME....

That's right people... I am so ready to get back on that stage. I am nervous (a good nervous) and can already smell the protan (ohhhh yeahhhhh) and I am EXCITED with a capitol C for Crazy. It will be a littler harder this time around, for one I will likely be working part time once the kids start school so finding that time to hit the gym is going to take some serious juggling but I sure wouldn't be the first to do that.

There are two possible shows I can do here in Utah. October 8th is the NPC Utah Nutrimart Classic and October 15th is the NGA Northern States Natural Bodybuilding and Figure Championships.

I have only ever competed through the NPC, has anyone had experience with NGA and if so what? I may end up doing both shows, one week apart... why not??? I have ten weeks. Time starts NOW...

Hobble, Wobble and FUN!

I am ba-ack... well I am going to at least give it a shot. I want to be back. I have missed blogging, but want you to know that I have still been faithfully reading YOUR blogs! You know what they say "When life throws you lemons, make lemonade". Well... I had a few very large lemons thrown at me and they may have left marks... BUT... I am finally squeezing the hell out of those suckers and lemonade it will be someday :)

How are you all doing?

Things have been hectic to say the least. I have a lot of things I want to write about. I had such a great weekend that I feel I really need to talk about it. First of all, a few months ago my sister in law talked me into signing up for a half marathon. "It's mostly down hill, can't be that hard" she says. I am no runner, in fact I really don't love running... however I am always up for a challenge. I am a bit competitive that way. So, I dragged my other sister in on the "fun" and that is where it ended. I think I ran maybe twice in that three months of prep. The longest distance being 5 miles (I SUCK). Monday before the race my sister and I did a ten miler and it dang near killed me took us about 2 hours (ish). My cardio is good, I do a lot of high intensity stuff at the gym which I think helps. Anyway Saturday was the race. It was in Hobble Creek Canyon which was beautiful! The run was mostly downhill which I thought would make it a little bit easier... I was wrong. My ankles, my knees and my left butt cheek (yep just the left one) were TORE up. It was fun though. I even beat my time from my first half over a year ago by almost 15 minutes. Whoop Whoop! Success... heck I might even do another one someday. The best part was having two of my sisters with me. I love them.

As you know I recently moved from oh so beautiful Southern Cali to Utah (also very beautiful but winter was a weeeee bit too long for my liking). Anywho... I loved Cali. I made some of the most amazing friends on the planet there. One of them happened to be passing through Salt Lake City this weekend with her hubby and kids. I was lucky enough to get to hang out with her for a few hours on Saturday. It was AWESOME! I am so blessed that she was able to squeeze us in. Our daughters were giddy to see each other after so long, and I was pretty giddy to see my friend too. It felt like no time had passed. Here are some fun pictures. We took the kids to dinner and than to play in the fountains at the mall!

Our girls... such beauties
